Fiji time is real.
Everything has been running late and it's driving me cray cray. Breakfast was at 7 but we didn't get food until 7:40ish. That will take getting use to. We're staying at this hotel and some rooms are really nice and others(like mine) look like prison. I have culture shock & miss America.
Dear whoever reading this,
Please take me to Taco Bell when I get home.
Sincerely,
A girl who misses American food
Off my soap box.
Today we went to Nadi and got to see the town. We went to a Hindu Temple. It was the coolest thing I've ever seen. So many beautiful colors. And they have cows that you whisper in the left ear and make a wish. I pretty much want a cow statue now. I could make wishes all the time. 😊 I hope the wishes I made come true. One was for health and the other was a life wish. I can tell you that and it won't give it away. Wishes are my favorite 👍
Ohhh,
Today in town a few of us went to find a souvenir store type of thing. We were led to a wacked out ally by a Fijian woman and up creeky stairs to a cute little market store. It was all fine and dandy until they offered us kava. Being Americans were not used to the bacteria in the water here, and kava happens to be made with water. We all sat in a circle and the Fijians welcomed us with the kava. We pretended to drink it and them we ran out. Needless to say it was awkward. Fijians are really good sales people too. BEWARE.
I was asked about 10 times from different people if I was Fijian. I must really look similar. I finally just started saying yes. I've come to terms that I'm a Fijian.
Quote of the day:
"Don't drink street kava"
Fijian Words:
Tukie-Tukie- sexy time
